What is an RSS feed?

RSS, "Really Simple Syndication", is a standardised way to make updates on a website easily available for users and systems to subscribe to.

Our RSS feeds provide headings and descriptions for each new item released on this site within an hour of it being posted. Subscribing to one of the feeds (for all MOTivate news, or just for one of its sections) will make sure you are always up to date on MOTivate.

How do I subscribe?

Subscribe using Outlook

Subscribe using your web browser

Internet Explorer

Click the RSS logo - RSS logo - on the page section you want to subscribe to. The page you then see is a view of the RSS feed. To subscribe, click ‘Subscribe to this feed’ then follow the prompts.

You can find the feeds you subscribe to under the Feeds explorer bar (View -> Explorer Bar -> Feeds, or Ctrl+Shift+J). Or check “Add to Favorites Bar” when you subscribe so you can see it from there (show the Favorites bar, if it’s hidden, using View -> Toolbars -> Favorites Bar). The Feeds explorer bar and link on the Favorites bar will then always show the latest MOTivate stories.

Firefox

Click the RSS logo - RSS logo - on the page section you want to subscribe to. The page you then see is a view of the RSS feed. To subscribe, click ‘Subscribe Now’ then follow the prompts.

Make sure you choose a place to save the live bookmark that you will remember. That bookmark will then automatically update to list the most recent MOTivate stories.

Safari and Chrome

These browsers don’t directly support RSS feeds. The Chrome Web Store(external link) and Safari Extension Gallery(external link) both have plenty of options for RSS subscription though.

Subscribe using your mobile or tablet

There are a multitude of apps available for both Android and Apple phones and tablets to subscribe to RSS feeds. Search the app store on your device for “RSS” and choose an app that works how you like.

Other options

As an open format for providing news feeds, there are any number of ways you can subscribe to RSS feeds. If you prefer a desktop application for your PC or Mac, search the web and you will find many options. There are also online services that can aggregate feeds for you.
