Those most likely to have cycled in the past year are children aged 5–12 years. More than three out of every five children aged 5–12 years have spent some time cycling in the past year – both boys and girls. Nearly half of all boys in this age group have cycled in the last month, with 44 percent of girls in this age group doing the same. Overall, males are more likely to have cycled in the past year than females.
